LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Salary offered:
- a basic gross salary will be provided in accordance with the scales based on educational qualifications
and length of experience - in the event of satisfaction after the probationary period, a personal allowance may be granted
Job description:
- ensuring routine laboratory operations
- processing samples from animal experiments and clinical studies
- preparation of solutions, culture media, histological slides
- performing biochemical and microbiological analysis of samples
- isolation of nucleic acids and proteins and their subsequent quantitative analysis
- genotyping, real time PCR and other molecular analyses
- preparation and provision of animal experiments, including behavioural tests
- participation in research projects carried out at the department
- disinfection, sterilisation of instruments
- operation of instruments for chemical and microbiological analysis of samples
- regular maintenance and cleaning of analytical instruments and equipment
- care of small laboratory animals (rats, mice)
Employee Requirements:
- minimum required education: secondary school leaving certificate
- the position is also suitable for a candidate with the following education: post-secondary/higher vocational education
